It’s okay to be bored, in fact it’s a good thing sometimes. If this global pandemic and social isolation has taught me anything, it’s that I need to take some time to sit in my solitude and find my passion again.

Dear Extension Community,
Governor DeWine recently issued a state of emergency and implemented a variety of strategies to reduce the spread of the COVID-19, Coronavirus.
In order to do our part in reducing risk to our employees or clientele, we have implemented a teleworking plan.
OSU Extension offices will be closed to the public until further notice.

There is a lot of confusing information out there about COVID-19 also known as the Coronavirus. Let me assure you that Hamilton County 4-H is doing its best to address the diverse needs of our population while also working to limit exposure and ensure the welfare of our must vulnerable citizens.
The plan is simple, 4-H is holding trainings and meetings virtually or postponing them until April 20th. Our club advisors have been briefed on ways to engage youth digitally and will receive updated resources on how to do that regularly.

Sitting on my desk is an apple. I often eat an apple during the workday. Not to keep the doctor away but, because they are portable, sweet and have a long shelf life. Compare that to our native pawpaw, these fruits have a short shelf life, bruise easily and, while sweet, are somewhat of an acquired taste.
