  2. Cincinnati Buckeye Run 2020 Results

    21 Participants, 175 kilometers, and $300 raised at this years virtual Cincinnati Buckeye Run!

    While the pandemic has changed how we engage with our community our shifted much of our programming to a virtual format, events like the Second Annual Cincinnati Buckeye Run still occurred in a different way.

    In 2020, participants were asked to register online and were encouraged to donate, though the event was offered free of charge.

  3. 2020 Hamilton County Master Gardener Volunteer Training Begins October 8th

    OSU Extension, Hamilton County is now accepting applications for their 2020 Master Gardener Volunteer Training Class.  The Master Gardener Volunteer Program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested gardeners who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Ohio residents through their Ohio State University County Extension Office. The Master Gardener training course consists of a minimum of 50 hours of instruction.

  7. Hamilton County Extension partners with Green Umbrella on the Farm to School Educator Workshop

    Hamilton County Extension, 4-H Youth Development is excited to partner with Green Umbrella's Food Policy Council to support the 2020 Farm to School Educator Workshop, September 19, 2020 from 8:30AM to 12:30PM. This virtual workshop will prepare teachers to address the challenges of Farm to School education in the classroom and virtually.

  8. Two Minutes with Tony: A Peaceful Fire

    As a child I participated in a theatrical production about fire. The production has three movements. At one point we danced around a pile of TVs on stage to represent a large bonfire. Later we were asked to escape a burning building. When asked what I would take from my home in a fire I quickly answered car keys. Apparently at 8 years old I was going to drive away from that burning mess.

  9. Tony Talks to Teachers: Rebecca Supinger

    It's all about 4-H this week as Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development talks to his Greene County Counterpart Rebecca Supinger about 4-H and the Fair. Rebecca Supinger joined OSU Extension in 2012. She serves as the Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development in Greene County. Rebecca received her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and studied Early Childhood Education. She attended the University of Dayton where she studied Higher Education Administration.
