4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills as they work in partnership with caring adults. What does that mean? In 4-H we are committed to helping young people develop skills that will help them succeed. We want to empower all youth to reach their full potential.
In Hamilton County, we improve our communities through our Community Clubs, SPIN Clubs, Camps and Classroom Programs.
With nearly 200,000 youth in our county, we are always looking for new and better ways to engage our community.
To do this we need your help!
Join our team as a dedicated 4-H Volunteer.
We are seeking volunteers to fill several roles:
Organizational Club Volunteer (Advisor): These volunteers serve as club leaders in their community. These flagship programs are run and designed to meet the needs of each community.
Activity Project Club Volunteers: Are you passionate about a certain 4-H project. Join our team and support a club through what sparks your interest.
Cloverbud Advisor: Are you a specialist or do you enjoy working with youth age 5-8? This is the opportunity for you.
4-H Club Financial Volunteer: Financial management is an important part of managing a club, they are always willing to accept help to maintain their affiliate status.
SPIN Club Volunteers (Advisor): SPIN Clubs are run by volunteers who have a project that sparks their interest for 6 weeks at a time. These volunteers work in partnership with local agencies to bring 4-H to new audiences.
Hamilton County Fair Coordinator: Working with the Hamilton County Fair is a time honored tradition. We are seeking some support to increase our efforts to support the Hamilton County Fair.
Communication Work Group Leader: Are you a communicator? Do you like writing? This is a great volunteer position for anyone from high school to retirement.
Fundraising Work Group Leader: Help us advance our mission by helping us work with the community to fund our programs!
To join our team as a 4-H volunteer please reach out to Tony Staubach at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers will have to go through an interview process and background check (reimbursed by OSU).
