“Walk On” There is a path that I must take/ Where it leads, no one can say./ There is a path, that calls my name./ Please lead me, on this way./ It might seem scary, It might be sad,/ It might even make me, A little bit mad./ But that’s okay, Because I know,/ The path I follow, Is my own./ There is a mountain in my way,/ I might walk around it, today,/ But, tomorrow I might, scale up its side,/ Discover the secrets that it tries to hide./ And there is an ocean, deep and blue,/ White sandy beaches to sink your toes into./ The dolphins they splash, the minnows they play,/ The music I hear but, I’m alone today./ Take it from me, there’s more to this life,/ Than listening to that voice that comes from inside./ But of all the voices you hear in your head,/ There is one that won’t fill you with dread./ The voice I hear, it tells me,/ That I’m not wrong, when I believe,/ I look at myself,  in the mirror today,/ I’m on my path,  I’m on my way.

Is there anything more powerful than looking in the mirror and telling yourself that you are worthy. At this time of the year when the sun shines a little less brightly, when the fluctuating weather patterns can wear on your patience, take a moment to breathe and tell yourself you are worthy. Worthy of love, worthy of affection and worthy of good things to come.

The Hamilton County 4-H program provides youth with a safe and comfortable space where they can develop positive relationships with responsible adults who will guide them to their success.

Youth take on projects and exhibit them at the fair to move toward mastery of a subject. No one is perfect, mastery takes time and we recognize this in our 4-H programs.

Youth involved in 4-H build confidence, develop public speaking skills and are four times more likely to give back to their communities.

Adult volunteers and advisors get as much out of the program as they give. They get to inspire youth, they have the opportunity to transform their community through partnership and they develop new leadership skills.

Please consider joining 4-H, becoming a 4-H Volunteer or starting your own club in your neighborhood. There are thousands of children waiting to be served by 4-H, we need your support to bring their dreams and our vision to fruition.
