What can we do to make 4-H stronger? Focus on educating our youth!
The first step is almost complete. The Hamilton County Community Fair Association (formerly the 4-H Association) has taken full control of the Hamilton County Community Fair and Hamilton County 4-H has been rebuilding an Advisory Committee to strengthen Hamilton County 4-H.
I would like to extend a thank you to all of those on the Hamilton County Community Fair Association for their diligent work.
I’d also like to extend a message of thanks to those who worked with Hamilton County 4-H to develop bylaws and nominate the new 4-H Advisory Committee. Bruce Tumlin (4-H Parent) Kelly Allgeier (4-H Volunteer), Kris Mason (4-H Parent), Michaela Oldfield (Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council), Christy Montoya (Ohio Farm Bureau), Mark House (Hamilton County Agricultural Society), Hope Johnson (4-H Advisor) and Mary Dudley (FFA Teacher) for their hard work.
The members of the new 4-H Advisory Committee will be announced next week. A full explanation of what that means for communication will be available in the next month and a strategic plan will be in place by July. We are still looking for members to serve on the 4-H Advisory Committee, if you are interested click here or reach out to Hamilton County Extension.
