Box tree moth is a non-native pest of boxwoods (Buxus spp.). The caterpillars feed on the foliage of boxwoods, causing dieback. Box tree moth poses a risk to the health of boxwoods in landscapes and nurseries.
Ohio State Forest Entomologist, Dr. Kayla Perry, and Ohio State Extension Educator, Joe Boggs, teamed up with biologist and science communicator Rob Nelson (@UntamedScience) to show you the identification, damage, and treatment options for box tree moth.
