Hamilton County Master Gardener Volunteers were part of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s first Monarch Festival that celebrated these beautiful and beloved pollinators. It was a fun and educational event for the entire family, the Festival featured activities, displays, hands-on learning, and a Monarch tag and release.
The Festival culminated with a Monarch Parade where children of all ages, festooned in pollinator costumes, “migrated” from Canada and the Northern United States to the Mexican forest where Monarchs overwinter.
