About Extension
We are the outreach arm for The Ohio State University, and it is our job to
make the resources of OSU available to all the citizens of Hamilton County!
Did you know that the Hamilton County Extension office is a branch office of The Ohio State University? OSU Extension is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, The Ohio State University, and Hamilton County Commissioners. Our Hamilton County office is your front door to the research of The Ohio State University. How does this research make the things important to you faster, easier, more competitive, or more healthful? We’re here to help you discover!
We are the largest informal educational system in the world. Our practical educational programs combine the needs of the citizens and communities of Hamilton County with new research and technical solutions from OSU. A few areas of focus are community development, agriculture, 4-H youth development, environment, families, nutrition, and leadership. These programs are continually being evaluated, updated, and recreated to meet the changing needs and issues facing our community.
The mission of Extension is to help improve and strengthen the lives of Ohioans. We want to start right here in Hamilton County! We have answers for communities and individuals. The clients we work with are Ohioans – urban and rural, young and old, all sizes, and all races. We want to work with YOU!
